Georg Dittler, a single farmer, arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 4 July 1766 aboard the English frigate Love & Unity under the command of Skipper Thomas Fairfax.
Arriving aboard the same ship was Widow Louisa Meinicke and her son Martin (age 17½). Apparently, Georg Dittler & the Widow Meinicke married while in St. Petersburg.
Georg Ditler [sic], his [new] wife Louisa, and [step-]son Martin [Meinicke] (age 15) are recorded on a list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767.
Georg Dittler, a hunter (Jäger), his wife Louisa, and [step-]son Martin [Meinicke] (age 17) settled in the Volga German colony of Boisroux on 7 June 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 19.
The 1775 census of Kamenka records Georg Dittler in Household No. 81 along with new wife Katharina and sons (Andreas, age 10; Johannes, age 8).
In 1788, Andreas & Johann Georg Dittler moved from Kamenka to Semenovka.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Georg Dittler came from the German region of Sachsen (Saxony). The 1767 census records that Georg Dittler came from the German village of Rücksaal [?].
