The Rev. Edgardo Elseser, son of Eugenio Elseser & Marta Kamalosky, was born 26 June 1967 in Juan José Castelli, Chaco Province, Argentina.

He studied theology at the Concordia Seminary and was ordained in 1991. He served the parish of Villaguay (Entre Ríos, Prov.) from 1991 to 1999. Between 1999 and 2002, he was pastor of the parish of Paraná (Entre Ríos Prov.). Since 2011 he has served as pastor of the parish "San Lucas" of Banfield (Buenos Aires Metro).

He served as the president of the Iglesia Evangélica Luterana Argentina (Evangelical Lutheran Church of Argentina) (2003-2011).

Pastor Elseser served as president for two terms (2003-2011) and was succeeded by The Rev. Carlos Nagel on 27 March 2011.

Pastor Elseser's Volga German ancestors come from the colony of Galka.
