Frank Khutor was founded by colonists resettling from Frank.
Following the deportation of the Volga Germans in 1941, the settlement was renamed Krasnoarmeiskoye.
Frank Khutor was located outside of the boundary of the Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic of the Volga Germans.
There was a Lutheran church in Frank Khutor. The congregation there was served by the pastor from the parish in Frank.
