Johann Sebastian Eich married on 1 February 1746 in Nieder-Modau to Sophia Philippina Ramge, daughter of Konrad Ramge.
The births of the following children born to Johann Sebastian Eich & Sophia Philippina Ramge are recorded in the parish register of Georgenhausen: (1) Johann Peter, born 24 October 1748 in Wembach, died 3 November 1748; (2) Anna Margaretha Barbara, born 19 October 1749 in Georgenhausen; (3) Elisabeth Margaretha, born 9 February 1753 in Georgenhausen; (4) Catharina Elisabetha, born in 1761 in Steinau; and (5) Johann Dieterich, born 7 May 1764 in Asbach.
The family immigrated to Russia, arriving at the port in Oranienbaum on 4 July 1766. They settled in the colony of Dobrinka on 20 June 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 Census in Household No. 73.
Sebastian Eich and his family are recorded on the 1798 census of Dobrinka in Household No. Db69.
There are no known surviving male lines of this family among the Volga German colonies.
