There are three Grasmück siblings that settled in the Volga German colony of Balzer on 18 June 1767. All of them arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 4 July 1766 aboard the English frigate Love & Unity under the command of Skipper Thomas Fairfax.
Johannes Grasmück was born 23 February 1681 in Rohrbach and died 12 February 1731 in Rohrbach. He married Anna Elisabetha Thonges. She was born about 1692 and died 10 November 1756 in Rohrbach.
The baptisms of the following children to Johannes Grasmück & Anna Elisabetha Thonges are recorded in the parish register of Rohrbach: (1) Anna Elisabetha, born 28 October 1716, baptized 2 November 1716; (2) Conrad, baptized 11 August 1720; and (3) Johann Jacob, baptized 7 March 1729.
(1) Anna Elisabetha Grasmück married in Rohrbach on 19 April 1736 to Johann Heinrich Popp. They also settled in Balzer. [See Popp Family.]
(2) Conrad Grasmück married in Rohrbach on 13 March 1766 to Anna Maria Lepper, daughter of Balthasar & Elisabetha Lepper. She had been baptized in Rohrbach on 21 February 1723. She was the widow of Caspar Weber. With Caspar Weber she had at least one child: Anna Catharina Weber, baptized 30 August 1751 in Rohrbach.
Konrad Grasmück, a farmer, his wife Anna Maria, and daughter Anna Katharina [Weber] (age 17) are recorded on the 1767 census of Balzer in Household No. 78.
Widower Konrad Grasmück, his [step-]daughter [Anna] Katharina [Weber], and her husband Jakob Braun are recorded on the 1798 census of Balzer in Household No. Bz090.
There are no known surviving male lines of this Konrad Grasmück family among the Volga German colonies.
(3) Johann Jacob Grasmück married in Rohrbach on 16 June 1752 to Johanna Elisabetha Mai, daughter of Casper Mai (b. 1696) & Barbara Daumer (b. 1704). She had been born 28 April 1726 in Rohrbach.
The baptisms of the children of Johann Jacob Grasmück & Johanna Elisabetha Mai are recorded in the parish register of Rohrbach: (a) Johannes, baptized 18 March 1753; (b) Elisabetha Margaretha, baptized 2 July 1755; (c) Catharina, baptized 8 May 1757; (d) Eva, baptized 2 December 1760; (e) Conrad, baptized 9 January 1763; and (f) Johann Georg, baptized 13 January 1765.
[Johann] Jakob Grasmück, a farmer, his wife Johanna Elisabeth, and children (Johannes, age 17; Elisabeth Margaretha, age 14; Katharina, age 12; Eva, age 10; Konrad, age 6; Johann Georg, age 3) are recorded on the 1767 census of Balzer in Household No. 63.

In 1794, Christoph Grasmück [presumed son of Johann Jakob Grasmück] moved from Balzer to Lauwe. Christoph Grasmück from Balzer and his family are recorded on the 1798 census of Lauwe in Household No. Lw27.
On 20 June 1789, Eva Elisabeth Grasmück from Balzer received permission to relocate to Sarepta.
