Johann Adam Hieronymus was born 20 September 1711 in Lorsbach, Limburg, Hessen.
Widower Adam Hieronymus, a farmer, and his daughters (Margaretha, age 21; Dorothea, age 11) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 11 June 1766 aboard a ship named Der Junge Heinrich (The Young Henry) under the command of Skipper Heinrich Niemann. On this same ship were widow Katharina Hieronymus and her children (Elisabeth, age 13; Johann, age 11).
Johann Adam Hyronimus and Catharina Hyronimus are recorded on a list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767.
Widow Katharina Margaretha re-married to Conrad Herklotz and along with the children from both families settled in the Volga German colony of Straub on 12 July 1767. They are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 37.
Johann Heinrich moved to Warenburg where he died on 1 December 1831.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that both Adam Hieronymus and widow Katharina Margaretha Hieronymus came from the German region of Darmstadt.
