Johann Paul Wacker, son of Johannes Wacker & Anna Susanna Maria Klippert, was born 10 December 1741 in Crainfeld where both of his parents had been born. He was the great grandson of Johann Jacob Wacker (who died 4 March 1711 in Crainfeld) and Maria Lauffer. Johann Jacob Wacker is the son of Johannes Wacker from Allmenrod, Germany, who was born about 1620.
Johann Paul Wacker immigrated to Russia as a single man, and is recorded on the 1767 census of Frank in Household No. 53 along with his wife Anna Margaretha Kissler who had been on the ship with him during the journey to Russia.
