Peter Sinner, son of Johannes Sinner & Elisabeth Katharina Luft, was born in Schilling on 10 April 1879. He began his career as an apprentice trader with the Reinecke Brothers flour mills in Saratov. He continued to study, and in 1898 passed the exam to become a teacher. He was assigned to the school in Enders.
He moved to St. Petersburg, working both as a teacher and journalist. He became quite a prolific writer.
On 19 May 1910, he married Camilla Riedel. She had been born 19 July 1875 in Poznań, Prussia (today Poland).
They had three children, each born in St. Petersburg: (1) Alfred, born 28 March 1911; (2) Erwin, born 17 July 1912; and (3) Helmuth, born 30 March 1915.
On 14 August 1930, he was arrested in Leningrad [formerly St. Petersburg] and accused of being a spy for a foreign government. On 1 February 1932, he was sentenced to 3 years in prison where he died (exact date and place unknown).
