Several Götz families from the German village of Eichelsdorf arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 14 September 1766 aboard a ship under the command of Skipper Reders. They all settled in the Volga German colony of Yagodnaya Polyana on 16 September 1767.

(1) Johannes Götz, son of Hanß Heinrich Götz, and Anna Maria Dietz, daughter of Johannes Dietz, married in Eichelsdorf on 20 October 1737. The births of six of their children have been located in the parish register of Eichelsdorf : (1) Johann Heinrich, born 11 December 1738; (2) Johann Nicolaus, born 10 August 1741; (3) Johann Adam, born 18 October 1744; (4) Anna Elisabetha, born 29 January 1747; (5) Johann Andreas, born 9 October 1749; and (6) Anna Maria, 25 December 1752.

Maria Anna Götz (age 55), widow of Johann Georg Götz, and her children: Elisabeth (age 21), Johann Andreas (age 18), and Anna Maria (age 16) are recorded on the 1767 census of Yagodnaya Polyana in Household No. 71.

Son Johann Heinrich Götz (age 28) and his wife, Elisabeth (age 30), are recorded on the 1767 census of Yagodnaya Polyana in Household No. 72.

Son Johann Nicolaus Götz married in Büdingen on 3 July 1766 to Anna Maria Koch from Fauerbach. They arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 14 September 1766 aboard a ship under the command of Skipper Reders. They settled in the Volga German colony of Yagodnaya Polyana on 16 September 1767. Nikolaus Götz (age 26) and his wife, Anna Maria (age 20) are recorded on the 1767 census of Yagodnaya Polyana in Household No. 70.

(2) Johannes Götz, son of Conrad and Anna Margaretha Götz, was baptized in Eichelsdorf on 8 April 1737.  He married Anna Catharina Langlitz, daughter of Christian Langlitz from Oberseemen, on 8 December 1761. The baptism of one child is recorded in the parish register of Eichelsdorf: Anna Barbara, baptized 8 December 1761

Johannes Götz (age 31), his wife, Katharina (age 38), and their daughter, Anna Barbara (age 6) are recorded on the 1767 census of Yagodnaya Polyana in Household No. 73.

(3) Johannes Götz, son of Conrad Götz, and Anna Maria Götz, daughter of Johannes Götz, married in Eichelsdorf on 4 November 1755. The baptisms of two of their children are recorded on the parish register of Eichelsdorf: (1) Johann Peter, baptized 24 July 1759; and (2) Anna Maria, baptized 28 December 1763.

Johannes Götz (age 35), his wife, Anna Maria (age 46), children (Johann Peter, age 8; Anna Maria, age 4), and his father Johann Konrad (age 64) are recorded on the 1767 census of Yagodnaya Polyana in Household No. 69.

The Oranienbaum passenger list records that each of these Götz families came from the German region of Darmstadt. The 1767 census records that they came from the German region of Nidda.
