Michael Hermoni, a farmer, his wife Regina [sic], and sons (Anton, age 2¼; Franziscus, age ¼) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 16 August 1766 aboard a snow-brig named Neptunus (Neptune) under the command of Skipper Johann Graap.
Michael Hermani, his wife Christina [sic], and son Franciscus (age ¾) are recorded on the list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767 along with a note that the wife and son died en route.
Michael Hermonÿ, a farmer, and his new wife Elisabeth are recorded onthe 1767 census of Kautz in Household No. 20. They had settled in Kautz on 21 August 1767.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Michael Hermoni came from the German region of Pfalz. The 1767 census records that the Hermonÿ family came from the German village of Hüffelsheim in the Pfalz.
