Three Schwab families settled in Semenovka. They all arrived together in Oranienbaum, but this one is from a different location.
Bernhard Schwab, a farmer, his wife Susanna Maria, and mother-in-law Katharina [surname not recorded] arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 18 August 1766 aboard the galliot named Die Perle (The Pearl) under the command of Skipper Gerhardt Hermann Thomsen.
Bernhard Schwab, his wife Anna Maria, and mother-in-law [first name not recorded] Peyl are recorded on the list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767.
Widower Bernhard Schwab, a farmer, and his mother-in-law, Katharina [surname not recorded] arrived in the Volga German colony of Semenovka on 24 July 1767. They are recorded on the 1767 census of Semenovka in Household No. 34.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Bernhard Schwab came from the German region of Fulda. The 1767 census records that they came from the German village of Eichenzell near Fulda.
There are no known surviving male lines of this Schwab family among the Volga German colonies.
