Christoph Gutmann, son of Johannes & Elisabetha Guttman, was baptized in Büdingen on 5 July 1744. Christina Elisabetha Geÿer, daughter of Wilhelm Ludwig & Maria Margaretha Geÿer, was baptized in Büdingen on 30 April 1741.
Christoph Guthmann, son of Johannes Guthmann from Büdingen, & Christine Eliesabethe Geÿer, daughter of the deceased Wilhelm Ludwig Geÿer a tanner (Rothgerber) from Büdingen, were married on 8 April 1766 in the Lutheran Church of Büdingen.
Christoph Guttmann, a baker, and his wife Christina arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 28 July 1766 aboard a Russian pink named Vologda [an historic Russian city] under the command of Lieutenant Sergey Bartenyev.
Christoph Guttmann (age 25), a baker (Bäcker), and his wife Christina Elisabeth (age 26) are recorded on the 1767 census of Kutter in Household No. 82 along with Philipp Weigandt (age 10), orphaned son of Heinrich Weigandt. They had arrived in Kutter on 16 August 1767. The 1767 census does not record a relationship between the Guttmann and Weigandt families. [See Weigandt Family.]
Both the Oranienbaum passenger list and the 1767 census record that Christoph Guttmann came from the German region of Isenburg.
