Kaspar Dietz, a craftsman (Handwerker), and his family settled in the Volga German colony of Enders on 27 March 1766 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 16. The Dietz family is not recorded on the 1798 census in the colony of Enders.
The 1767 census records that Kaspar Dietz came from the German village of Prenzlau in the Brandenburg district.
The 1798 census of Reinhard records a Johann Dietz. It is believed that this Johann Dietz is the son of Kaspar Dietz from Enders because there are other families from the German village of Prenzlau who settled in Reinhard.
