Friedrich Wodischal, a farmer, and his family settled in the Volga German colony of Urbach on 3 July 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 28.

The 1767 census records that Friedrich Wodischal came from the German village of Prenzlau in the Brandenburg region.

There are no known surviving male lines of this family among the Volga German colonies.
