Christian Richter & Johanna Elisabeth Walter were married on 18 June 1766 in Roßlau.
Christian Richter, a miller (Müller), and his family (including stepchildren Gottfried and Anna Rosina Walter) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 21 July 1766 aboard the snow-brig Mercurius under the command of Skipper Christian Heinrich Abelßen.
They settled in the Volga German colony of Stahl am Tarlyk on 13 August 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 24.
The 1767 census records that Christian Richter came from the German village of Zwickau in the region of Sachsen (Saxony).
There are no surviving male lines of this Richter family recorded among the Volga German colonies.
