Kaspar Roscher [sic], a farmer, his wife Susanna, and daughter Anna Barbara (age 12) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 21 July 1766 aboard a snow-brig named Mercurius under the command of Skipper Christian Heinrich Abelßen.
They settled in the Volga German colony of Rothammel on 21 August 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 14.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Kaspar Rohschauer came from the German region of Pfalz. The 1767 census records that Kaspar Rohschauer came from the German village of Käfertal in the Kurpfalz region.
There are no known surviving male lines of this Rohschauer family among the Volga German colonies.
