Matthias Ingenthron, a baker, his wife Anna Maria (who is not the mother of his sons), and his sons (Johann Nikolaus, age 19, and Balthasar, age 17) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 21 July 1766 aboard the snow-brig Mercurius under the command of Skipper Christian Heinrich Abelßen.
Matthias died after arrival in Russia, and Anna Maria remarried to a man named Weigand who also died.
Widow Anna Maria Weigand settled in the Volga German colony of Rothammel on 21 August 1767. She is recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 10 along with her stepson, Balzer [Balthasar] Ingetron [sic] and a note that Balzer relocated to the nearby colony of Sewald in 1768.
The 1767 census records that Anna Maria Weigand came from the German village of Dirmstein in the Worms region.
There are no known surviving male lines of this Weigand family among the Volga German colonies.
