The parish register of Mettenheim records that Johann Friedrich Knobloch, a glazier (Glaser), went to Dietel.
Johann [Friedrich] Knobloch, a farmer, and his wife Anna [Elisabeth Stalhmann] arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 13 September 1766 aboard a ship under the command of Skipper Johann Grapp.
Friedrich Knoblauck and his wife Elisabeth are recorded on the list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767.
Records in Sarepta record three children born in Dietel: (1) Georg Friedrich, born 8 April 1771; (2) Johannes, born 22 August 1773; and (3) Johann Wendel, born 19 November 1781.
The movement tables of the 1798 census record that Friedrich Knobloch and his family moved from Dietel to Sarepta in 1796. However, records in Sarepta record that Friedrich Knobloch received authorization to move to Sarepta on 5 August 1788 and arrived in Sarepta on 24 January 1789 from Dietel.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Johann Knobloch came from the German region of Pfalz. Notes from Karl Stumpp added to the publication of the 1767 census of Dietel record that Joh. Friedrich Knobloch came from the German region of Waltenberg.
