Franz Muth [sic], a farmer, and his family settled in the Volga German colony of Louis on 14 June 1766. They are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 21.

In 1788, Franz Muthi and his family moved from Louis to Rohleder.

Michael Muthi, presumed son of Franz Muthi, and his family are recorded on the 1798 census of Rohleder in Household No. Rl22.

Michael Muthi and his family are recorded on the 1834 census of Louis in Household No. 16.

The 1767 census records that Franz Muth [sic] came from the German village of Sierck in the Lothringen region.
