Heinrich Sperl was born in approximately 1792 in the village of Offenbach.
He served as a bread maker in Napoleon's Army. He fought and was captured by the Russians.
Milovidov records that as of 1814 he had four brothers and two sisters still living in Offenbach.
He was settled in the Volga German colony of Stahl am Tarlyk and was assigned to the household of Heinrich Hergenröder.
He is recorded there on the 1834 census of Stahl am Tarlyk in Household No. 94, on the 1850 census of Stahl am Tarlyk in Household No. 26, and on the 1857 census of Stahl am Tarlyk in Household No. 35 along with a note that he had died there in 1856.
