Johann Georg Auth, a farmer, and his family arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 4 July 1766 aboard the English frigate Love & Unity under the command of Skipper Thomas Fairfax.
Georg Auth, his wife Sibilla, and children (Cunigunda, age 10¼; Johannes, age 6; Margaretha, age 4; Georg, age 1¼) are recorded on the list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767 along with a note that daughter Margaretha died en route.
They settled in the Volga German colony of Nieder-Monjou on 7 June 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 3.
Anna Kunigunda Auth is recorded on the 1798 census of Nieder-Monjou in Household No. Nm02 as the wife of Engelbert Betz.
The widow and daughter of Johann Georg Auth are recorded on the 1798 census of Nieder-Monjou in Household No. Nm46.
The 1767 census records that Johann Georg Auth came from the German village of Prati (Prapsi?) in the region of Hanau.
There are no known surviving male lines of this family among the Volga German colonies.
