Andreas Andersen, a tobacco worker (Tabakhändler), and his wife Anna arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 3 June 1766 aboard the galliot Adler under the command of Skipper Paul Adolph Drath.
They settled in the Volga German colony of Dinkel on 27 July 1767. Andreas is recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 4 along with a new wife, Anna Maria, the widow of Anton Peter Rau, and her children.
