Magnus Zimmerberg, a craftsman (Handwerker), and his wife Anna Maria settled in the Volga German colony of Dobrinka on 10 June 1766. They are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 40.

The 1767 census records that Magnus Zimmerberg came from the German village of Leppin in Swedish Pomerania.

There are no known surviving male lines of this family among the Volga German colonies.
