Peter Christoph Demhof, a single weaver (Tuchweber), arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 15 September 1766 aboard a ship under the command of Skipper Franz Nikolaus Schröder.
Peter Christoph Demhof is recorded on the list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767.
Peter Christian [sic] Dönhof, a weaver (Tuchweber), and his wife Maria are recorded on an appendix to the 1767 census of Beauregard in Household No. 19 and a note recording that they settled in the Volga German colony of Zürich in 1768.
The 1798 census of Nieder-Monjou records Christoph Dönhof from Zürich living in Household No. Nm42 along with his son Christoph (junior) and his family.
The death of Christoph (junior) Demhof in 1817 is recorded on the 1834 census of Nieder-Monjou.
The 1767 census records that Peter Christian [sic] Dönhof came from the German village of Kettwig.
There are no known surviving male lines of this family among the Volga German colonies.
