Neumann (Kutter)
Philipp Neumann and his wife Maria arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 19 July 1766 aboard the snow-brig named Christina under the command of Skipper Jacob Stappenberg.
They settled in the Volga German colony of Kutter on 8 July 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 5.
The 1798 census of Kutter (Household No. Kt30) records that Eberhart Neumann is working as a tailor in Straub.
Eberhard Neimann from Kutter is recorded on the 1811 census of Straub in Household No. 65 along with a note that he had arrived in Straub from Kutter in 1801.
The death of Eberhard Neimann in 1817 is recorded on the 1834 census of Straub in Household No. 81.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Philipp Neumann was a farmer while the 1767 census records that he was a craftsman (Handwerker).
The 1767 census records that Philipp Neumann came from the German district of Isenburg.
