Hans Müller, a farmer, and his family arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 20 May 1766 aboard the Russian galliot Catharina Eleonora under the command of Skipper Peter Röder.
Hans died after arrival in Russia and his widow Maria remarried to Heinrich Kromberg. They settled in the Volga German colony of Dinkel on 12 July 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 15 along with her nephew (mis-identified as her son) Nikolaus Müller.
Nikolaus Müller and his family are recorded on the 1798 census of Dinkel in Household No. Dn40.
Nikolaus Müller and his family are recorded on the 1811 census of Dinkel in Household No. 41.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that this Müller family came from the German region of Holstein.
