Johann Christian Seübert, son of Johann Bernhardt Seübert, was born in Radegast on 31 January 1719 and baptized there in the Reformed Church on 2 February 1719.

He married in Durlach on 26 November 1750 to Augusta Maria Haldenwang, daughter of Johann Caspar Haldenwang & Augusta Maria Hemberger. She had been baptized in the Durlach City Church (Stadtkirche) on 12 November 1728.

The baptisms of 6 children are recorded in the parish register of Concordia Lutheran Church (Konkordienkirche) in Karlsruhe: (1) Eva Catharina Charlotta, baptized 29 May 1751; (2) Maria Sophia Louisa, baptized 16 December 1752; (3) Johann Jacob Friedrich, baptized 13 October 1754; (4) Christian August Wilhelm, baptized 17 June 1756, buried 19 September 1756; (5) Christian August Wilhelm, baptized 13 August 1757; and (6) Franz Carl, baptized 13 June 1760, buried 21 June 1760.

Johann Christian Seifert, a craftsman (Handwerker), his wife, and surviving children immigrated to Denmark (Schleswig-Holstein) arriving in the city of Schleswig on 6 June 1761.

The baptisms of two additional children are recorded in the register of the Danish parish in Hohn: (1) Augusta Maria Catharina, baptized 21 June 1761; and (2) Michael Nicolaus, baptized 16 November 1763.

The Seifert family is last recorded in Denmark on 22 November 1765.

Christian Seibert, a joiner, his wife Augusta, and children (Katharina, age 15; Louisa, age 13; Jakob, age 12; Christian, age 10; August[a], age 6) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 4 July 1766 aboard the ship Der Junge Heinrich under the command of Skipper Henrich Niemann.

Johann Christian Seifert, his wife Auguste Maria, and children (Louisa, age 15; Jakob Friedrich, age 14; Christian August, age 11; August[a], age 9) are recorded on the 1767 census of Grimm in Household No. 27.

Siblings Jakob Friedrich Seifert (age 20), Christian (age 17), and Augusta (age 14) and their mother Augusta Maria are recorded on the 1775 census of Grimm in Household No. 111.

Widow Augusta [Seifert] is recorded on the 1798 census of Grimm in Household No. Gm101 along with her stepson Heinrich Schneider and his family.

Christian Seifert and his family are recorded on the 1798 census of Grimm in Household No. Gm040.

Louisa Seifert and her family (from marriages to Johannes Berger & Johannes Reichert) are recorded on the 1798 census of Kraft in Household No. Kf22.

Anna Katharina Seifert and her family (from marriages to Friedrich Will & Kaspar Koch) are recorded on the 1798 census of Kraft in Household No. Kf30.

The 1798 census of Shcherbakovka records son Jakob Friedrich Seifert and his family in Household No. Sv02.

The Eichhorns record that Johann Christian Seifert came from the Margravate of Baden-Durlach. Both the Oranienbaum passenger list and the 1767 census record that Christian Seifert came from the German region of Durlach.
