Friedrich Koch, a farmer, and his family settled in the Volga German colony of Rohleder on 14 June 1766. They are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 17.
In 1776, Friedrich Koch and his family moved from Rohleder to Hussenbach.
The 1767 census records that Friedrich Koch came from the German village of Oldenburg in Denmark.
