Georg Koch, a farmer, his wife, and his stepdaughter (surname not recorded) settled in the Volga German colony of Rohleder on 14 June 1766. They are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 18.

The 1767 census records that Georg Koch came from the German region of Bamberg.

There are no known surviving male lines of this Koch family among the Volga German colonies.
