The Facius List records "Actum Auffenau den 13. Februar 1766 . . .Johann Conrad Kehm, Schuhmeister zu Hüttengesäß rescribatur (umschreiben): Copul. Johann Marx Kähm 24 jahr alt von Hüttengesäß willend zu heiraten mit :ein guter Ackermann, reform. Religion Copul.Johann Casper Kehm 22 jahr alt von Hüttengesäß willend zu heiraten mit :ein guter Ackermann, reform. Religion Copul.Catharina Kehmin 30 jahr alt von Hüttengesäß willend sich zu verheiraten mit :eine gute Ackerbauerin, reform. Religion."

Johann Conrad & Catharina Kähm had two sons born in Hüttengesäß: (1) Markus, born 15 September 1742; and (2) Caspar, born 25 September 1744.

(1) Markus Kähm married Anna Margaretha Bauer, daughter of Johann Conrad Bauer.

Markus Kähm, a farmer, and his wife settled in Balzer on 18 June 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 48.

Widower Markus Kähm and his family are recorded on the 1798 census of Balzer in Household No. Bz012.

(2) Caspar Kähm married Eleonora Wilhelmina Weber, daughter of Johann Heinrich Weber 7 A. Margaretha Volkers. She had been born 1 July 1746 in Buches.

Kaspar Kähm, a farmer, and his wife Eleonora settled in Balzer on 8 August 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 93.

In 1790, Kaspar Kähm moved from Balzer to Beideck.

Kaspar Kähm and his family are recorded on the 1798 census of Balzer in Household No. Bz013.

The 1767 census records that both of these Kähm families came from the German region of Isenburg.
