In 1858, Neu-Beideck was founded by resettlers from Beideck, Norka, Dönhof, Kutter, Balzer, and Schilling.
As a result of the anti-German renaming efforts during World War I, the colony went by the Russian name of Talovka.
Today, nothing remains of the former Volga German settlement of Neu-Beideck.
The colonists who originally settled in Neu-Beideck were Lutheran, but a Catholic congregation was also established there.
When it was founded, the Lutheran congregation belonged to the parish of Eckheim, but in 1882 became part of the parish of Brunnental. Originally, services were held in the school. In 1889, a new combination church/school building was constructed out of brick.
The original Catholic colonists were served by priests from the colony of Marienburg, and became officially part of that parish in the 1870s. About 1910, an independent Catholic parish was established in Neu-Beideck and served by Lithuanian and Polish priests from a nearby community. A wooden church building was eventually constructed.
Both the Lutheran and Catholic parishes were disbanded in the 1930s.
