There are two Friebus families that settled in the Volga German colony of Fischer on 28 July 1765. Their relationship to each other is not recorded on the 1767 census.
(1) Johann Friebus (age 50), a farmer, and his family are recorded on the 1767 census of Fischer in Household No. 11. The 1767 census records that Johann Friebus came from the German village of Zittau in Sachsen (Saxony).
(2) Christian Friebus (age 23), a farmer, and his wife Johanna Gertrude are recorded on the 1767 census of Fischer in Household No. 17. The 1767 census records that Christian Friebus came from the German village of Saoruno [?] in Sachsen (Saxony).
In 1795, Friedrich Friebus moved from Fischer to Rosenheim.

Brent Mai
