Biermann*

Philipp Beüermann, son of Johann Andreas Beüermann & Anna Catharina Köppel, was born 13 August 1730 and baptized 15 August 1730 in Büdesheim.

Anna Elisabeth Brunckhardt, daughter of Caspar Brunckhardt & Anna Gertrud Köhler, was born 26 September 1727 and baptized 28 September 1727.

Philipp Beüermann and Anna Elisabeth Brunckhardt were married in Büdesheim on 13 May 1756.

Record of the baptisms of four of their children have been located in the parish register of Büdesheim: (1) Sophia Gertraud, born 22 June 1756, baptized 23 June 1756; (2) Anna Maria, born 1 March 1759, baptized 3 March 1759, died 21 January 1763; (3) Johann Andreas, born 7 October 1761, baptized 9 October 1761; and (4) Johann Christoph, born 3 September 1764, baptized 4 September 1764. 

Philipp Biermann and his family arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 29 July 1766 aboard the ship Apollo under the command of Skipper Friedrich Detloff Mörenberg.

They settled in the Volga German colony of Grimm where they are recorded on the 1767 census in Household No. 66.

The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Philipp Biermann is a farmer while the 1767 census records that he is a craftsman (Handwerker).

Philipp Biermann and his family are recorded on the 1775 census of Grimm in Household No. 141.

Philipp Biermann and his family are recorded on the 1798 census of Grimm in Household No. Gm096.

Both the Oranienbaum passenger list and the 1767 census record that Philipp Biermann came from the German region of Friedberg.

There are no known surviving male lines of this family among the Volga German colonies.
