Discussion & Documentation

Konrad Adolph, a farmer, his wife Anna, and children (Anna, age 17¼; Johann, age 13; Konrad, age 9) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 9 June 1766 aboard the ship Mann und Frau under the command of Skipper Daniel Berg.

They settled in the Volga German colony of Warenburg on 12 May 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 49.

The 1767 census records that Konrad Adolph came from the German village of Holzhausen in the Hanau region.
