Heft
Heinrich Heft was baptized 4 February 1737 in Neckarbischofsheim.
He immigrated to Russia and settled in the Volga German colony of Balzer on 28 August 1765.
Heinrich Heft, a farmer, and his wife Katharina [Habermann] are recorded on the 1767 census of Balzer in Household No. 8 along with her brother Valentin Habermann (age 16). [See Habermann Family.]
In 1824, Heinrich Heft moved from Balzer to Dietel.
The 1767 census records that Heinrich Heft came from the German region of Kurpfalz.
There is a Johann Heinrich Heft that immigrated to Denmark (Schleswig-Holstein) in 1762. The Eichhorns record that this might be the same man who later settled in Balzer.
