Discussion & Documentation

Andreas Meisinger is recorded on the 1775 census of the Volga German colony of Schilling in Household No. 67 along with his stepdaughter Dorothea Sauerbrei, her husband Johann Adam Schmidt, and Johann Adam's brother Reinhard Schmidt.

Andeas Meisinger had been married to Elisabeth Sauerbrei, the widow of Jakob Sauerbrei [of Schilling - not the same Jakob Sauerbrei who settled in Hussenbach].

There are no known surviving male lines of this Meisinger family among the Volga German colonies.
