Christian Schulz, a farmer, and his wife Margaretha Elisabeth settled in the Volga German colony of Fischer on 20 April 1766. They are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 22.

The 1767 census records that Christian Schulz came from the village of Ganobor (see Schäfer) in England.
