Johann Gabel and his family are recorded on the 1775 census of Grimm in Household No. 139.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Johann Georg Gabel was a miller from the German region of Darmstadt. The 1767 census records that he was a farmer from the German region of Hessen.
