Peter Rohr, a craftsman (Handwerker), and his family settled in the Volga German colony of Fischer on 7 July 1766. They are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 28 along with their children (Maria Barbara, age 7; Georg Friedrich, age 1½).

The 1767 census records that Peter Rohr came from the German village of Tübingen in the Württemberg region.
