Friedrich Kunz, a farmer, his wife Elisabeth, son Johannes (age 1), and stepdaughters (Barbara Deis, age 9; Katharina Deis, age 5) settled in the Volga German colony of Graf on 10 June 1766.

Michael Kuntz, presumed son of Friedrich Kuntz, and his family are recorded on the 1798 census of Luzern in Household No. Lz23.

Michael Kuntz and his family are recorded on the 1834 census of Luzern in Household No. 51.

They are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 35. The 1767 census records that Friedrich Kunz came from Luxembourg.
