Discussion & Documentation

Johann Andreas Reinhardt, a weaver (Weber), his wife Margaretha, and children (Johann Christian, age 7; Christina Dorothea, age 4) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 15 September 1766 aboard the Danish galliot Nord Stern under the command of Skipper Detlev Belling [this information is mis-recorded in the Kuhlberg List published by Igor Plehve].

Johann Andreas Reinhardt, his wife Margaretha, and daughter Christina Dorothea (age 4) are recorded on the list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767 along with a note that daughter Christina Dorothea died en route.

Andreas Reinhardt, a weaver (Weber), his wife Margaretha, and son Adam Friedrich (age 1) are recorded on the 1767 census of Lauwe in Household No. 6. They had settled there on 19 August 1767.

The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Johann Andreas Reinhardt came from the German region of Thüringen. The 1767 census records that Andreas Reinhardt came from the German village of Ilm near Schwarzburg.

There are no known surviving male lines of this Reinhardt family among the Volga German colonies.
