Johannes Reuer, a farmer, and his wife Christina arrived from Lübeck via Reval [Estonia] at the port of Oranienbaum on 25 May 1766 aboard a pinque named Новая Двинка (New Dvinka [a river in Russia]) under the command of Lieutenant Ivan Perepechin.
Johannes settled in the Volga German colony of Göbel on 25 May 1767 and is recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 37 along with his new wife Margaretha Kern.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Johannes Reuer came from the German region of Lothringen. The 1767 census records that Johannes Reuer came from the German village of Neuweiler in the Lothringen region. His wife Margaretha Kern is recorded there are coming from the German village of Schotten in the Darmstadt region.
