Michael Vogel, a farmer, his wife Dorothea, and children (Joseph; Katharina; Hartmann) settled in the Volga German colony of Kamenka on 6 July 1765. They are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 5

The 1767 census records that Michael Vogel came from the German village of Weissensulz [?].
