Orphan Peter Walter (age 17) settled in the Volga German colony of Graf on 10 June 1766. He is recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 8 along with the Philipp Geiger family.
The 1767 census does not record a relationship between the Geiger and Walter families.
There are no known surviving male lines of this Walter family among the Volga German colonies.
