Jakob Gabel, a single man, settled in the Volga German colony of Graf on 10 June 1766. He is recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 24.

The 1767 census records that Jakob Gabel came from Mirtepolska Seitz [?].

There are no known surviving male lines of this Gabel family among the Volga German colonies.
