[Johann] Peter Weingard [sic] arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 15 September 1766 aboard a ship under the command of Skipper Franz Nikolaus Schröder.
He settled in the Volga German colony of Volmer on 18 July 1767 and is recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 27 along with his new wife Marianna.
In 1792, Peter Weinkauf and his family moved from Volmer to Seelmann.
Michael Weinkauf (born about 1786) and his family are recorded on the 1834 census of Volmer in Household No. 32. [Where he is on the 1798 census needs further research.]
Heinrich Weinkauf (born about 1778) and his family are recorded on the 1834 census of Hölzel in Household No. 38. [Where he is on the 1798 census needs further research.]
There are no known surviving male lines of the Weinkauf line that lived in Hölzel.
The 1767 census of Volmer records that Peter Weinkauf came from the German village of Starkenburg in the Kurmainz region.
