August Pedulius [sic], a single man, arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 16 August 1766 aboard a galliot named Die Wachsamkeit under the command of Skipper Jacob Heinrich Sager.
He settled in the Volga German colony of Lauwe on 5 September 1767 and is recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 50 along with his new wife Katharina.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that August Pedulius was a farmer while the 1767 census records that August Barthulyus [sic] was a medical officer (Feldscher).
The 1767 census records that August Barthulyus [sic] came from the German village of Gorgom [?] in Württemberg.
There are no known surviving male lines of this family among the Volga German colonies.
