Georg Dietz, a farmer, his wife Eva, and children (Johann, age 21; Bernhard, age 19; Adam, age 14; Kaspar, age 12) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 4 July 1766 aboard the English frigate Love & Unity under the command of Skipper Thomas Fairfax.
Georg died, and his widow remarried to Johannes Rockenschuh.
The combined Dietz / Rockenschuh family settled in the Volga German colony of Hildmann on 18 August 1767. They are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 29.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Georg Dietz came from the German region of Franken (Franconia).
