Peter Hansen, a farmer, and his wife Anna arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 3 June 1766 aboard the galliot Adler under the command of Skipper Paul Adolph Drath.

They settled in the Volga German colony of Reinhard on 25 May 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 23.

The 1767 census records that Peter Hansen came from the village of Tondern in Holstein.
