Heinrich Netz, a gardener, and his wife Anna arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 9 June 1766 aboard an English barque named George under the command of Skipper Adam Bairnsfair.
Heinrich Netz and his wife Anna are recorded on a list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767.
Heinrich Nitzel [sic], a gardner (Gärtner), and his wife Anna settled in the Volga German colony of Katharinenstadt on 3 August 1767. They are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 127 along with a note that they relocated to the colony of Nieder-Monjou in 1768.
Heinrich Netz is recorded on the 1798 census of Nieder-Monjou.
The death of Heinrich Netz in 1806 is recorded on the 1811 census of Nieder-Monjou in Household No. 51.
The 1767 census records that Heinrich Nitzel came from the German village of Halberstadt.
There are no known surviving male lines of this family among the Volga German colonies after 1806.
